What’s The Best Fulfillment Service For Low-Volume Sellers?

It’s a great question and really what I would encourage you to do is take a look at how complex is your shipping process and your packaging. So for example, let’s suppose that you sell um vitamins and you have one particular bottle of vitamins and that’s the only thing you sell. So for that process, you know, it’ll be very easy for you to hire a big company like Ship Bob or Shipmunk to do your fulfillment for you because it’s a very simple process.

Order comes in, they can package and ship, it’s going to go to your customer correctly. Now, if you’re a low volume seller and let’s suppose that you sell three or four items at the time and you have your orders, well, that you really do need to watch out for the big companies because the more as items come in, there’s a greater chance of your orders getting mixed, messed up, or misshipped. And nothing is more costly than your customer to get an incorrect shipment.

So again, in that instance, what you want to do is you look for a small shipping company, one like Jack, that’s going to really handle your products with great personal care because really, you want your your shipment to look like a gift when they get to the customer because a lot of times that’s the very first impression you’re making on a customer and you want it to look right and you spend a lot of time getting a customer. You don’t want the fulfillment company to chase them away.

So again, a low volume seller, you want to check the different rates. Watch out for companies that charge big fees for monthly fee based on how many whether you ship or not. You know what you’re going to do is most all companies are going to have some small minimum. But for example, if you ship less than 10 items per week with JAG, your fulfillment fees are probably going to be between a hundred to $110 a month for you to ship just a small amount of packages.

And if you ship less than 10 a week, it’s going to be even lower than that. So more than likely, it’s going to be much more economical for you to use us to do it for you than for you to spend the time yourself.

But again, it’s really important to think about how complex your process is, even when you’re small, because the more complex it is, more it’s going to be important for you to have someone or yourself to be able to do it and get them delivered to your customer correctly.
