How We Fulfilled 1,000 Gummy Orders in ONE Day | Behind the Scenes at JAG Alliance Fulfillment

Today is going to be a very busy day at JAG Fulfillment.

Now the reason I’m saying that is we ship a lot of JAG orders everyday, but we also do fulfillment and dropshipping for our customers, which means we ship their products to their clients some clients have small orders some have a lot. We had a customer sell over 1,000 bottles of gummies in a day.

Now this is going to be hundreds of orders, and you might think it would take us a week to get 100 orders out like most other 3PL’s. Nope, we’re going to get it done in a day, and we’re going to let you watch the first thing we need to do is we need to go get some gummies.

Now pile of the gummies has 48 cases of 50 each that’s, what, 2,400 gummies, and we need a thousand, so let’s take 20 boxes back to the label room and put some labels on for our customers.

So when we’re doing large private label jobs, we use our high-speed labeler. So this machine is a what they call a trap and wrap type technology and what it’ll do is it’s pretty fast about 60 per minute it’ll take us about 20 to 30 minutes to do the thousand bottles, not counting the time to load the labels up, of course.

You see Jacob feeding them in. Jett’s bringing them off now. A lot of people wonder how these machines work. Let me give you kind of a real quick summary what happens.

Here is they go on the conveyor this spaces them out so they evenly space. It comes down the conveyor and then goes under the little sensor. That little sensor you see with a red light is telling the machine when it needs to grab them and then it’s doing the trap and wrap and then they go on to be done. So really nice fast process.

Now another really good benefit we have here at JAG is, as you can see, we’ve got the labels are getting done. We’re not going to be able to do a thousand on this one roll, but we actually print labels here in house, as you can see, we got the next roll they’re ready to go.

Because of that you know if you were using a traditional ltl that doesn’t have the label printing in house, and you had a big order like this, you might have to wait a week before you could do the process because you would have to wait on the labels.

We can print the labels, we can apply the labels, we design the labels, we do it all in house and often we do it all in one day.

Alright, we’re back in the shipping area and what else is back in the shipping area is the thousand gummies. They just labeled you can see there’s a lot on that carpet quite a few here Mr. Rick is over there in the boxes and Mr. Jett is actually taking them, taping them, sealing them and putting the label on the boxes and piling them up for postal service.

He’s using the better pack tape dispenser that puts out the shipping tape already ready to go the exact length that we need makes the process much quicker.

So, as you see, over the next couple of hours we will be getting all those thousand gummies packed and ready to go.

Well, it’s five hours later we’re back where we started at, but we shipped over 1,200 gummies several hundred packages great job for the team y’all went good today. So we got Jordan, our awesome backup post office guy, here today.
