Why We Ran Out of EMU and How We Fixed It Fast

Hey, I’m Jim Fulford. I’m the J in JAG. And today I got a confession for you. And the confession is we’re not perfect. Even though we try to be perfect here at JAG, sometimes we mess up. And when we mess up, we fess up.

And so what we did, we ran out of emu, our number one selling product.

And you’re gonna think, “Jim, how can this possibly happen?”

Even though we do everything we can to make sure we have tons of inventory, sometimes things are out of our control. And this time it was one ingredient, menthol crystals. Menthol crystals is a common ingredient and it’s always in stock until it’s not.

And of course, when there’s only one ingredient that can throw the process off. And if you’ve ever dealt with manufacturing yourself, you know that one ingredient or anything in supply chain can cause you months of delay.

But we buffer you from all that by dealing with it. And of course, we handle it quickly. We got some menthol crystals overnighted in and because of that we were only out of the emu forfive days.

Today is going to be very busy when that semi rolls in. And so what we’re going to do is we’re going to take you behind the scenes and show you things we do it here at JAG to get the emu to you and into your hands as quick as possible.
